MHK Designer Inspiration - Rocky

A quick and simple card using the new MHK Designs set Valentine Roses. With postage costs rising cards need to be kept to a medium size and minimum thickness to qualify for standard postage.
I have changed the flower heads to red and the leaves and stem to green using my photo package. Our very own Mynn has several video tutorials on YouTube showing you how to do this and other changes, making digi images even more flexible.
The shadow was added with a pale grey marker pen, I had seen this done by another crafter and loved the effect. I'm sure it's possible in the photo package but as yet I haven't discovered how, a project for another day I think.
A simple die cut shape mounted on thin foam pads straight on to a black card blank makes for a simple but striking card. The addition of a small butterfly just adds a little more interest. I haven't added a greeting but I don't think it really needs one with such pretty roses.

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Judy

Hello all!
Today is my day to share a little designer inspiration
using this month's New Release Set

This is a beautiful set that, like most of the products
available in the  MHKDesings Etsy Shop,
can be used for a multitude of occasions.

My card is a simple design but, I think, effective.

I colored the image with alcohol markers and fussy cut.
The sentiment was printed on the white card stock
before I did the embossing. This way I could have it
placed right where I wanted it! I then matted the
panel with the sentiment and embossing with black card stock.
To finish, I popped the fussy cut image with foam tape on the matted panel.

I hope I've provided you just a little bit of inspiration today!
If you would like a chance to win this set check out
this month's challenge for details and join in for more
chances to win MHKDesigns products!

MHKDesigns Inspiration: Mynn

Hi, all! I'm back with another card using the *NEWLY RELEASED* Valentine Roses digital stamp set from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! I used a variety of patterned paper packs to create this card, as well as this *NEW* set. Take a peek...

I created the focal panel for this card in photoshop using the Digital Paper Fill technique to "color" in the image from the Valentine Roses digital stamp set. The paper packs used are Rosy PosyGet Well Flowers, and French Country.

I "rearranged" this simple sentiment from the Valentine Roses digital stamp set to fit inside of a circle, then recolored it using THIS technique. The sentiment circle was punched out and given dimension and I added a bit of glitter gel pen for a shiny shadow effect. A tiny enamel heart was added, as well.

Some shiny washi tape, twine, and a flower shaped button finished the focal panel off. I then matted it with black and added it to a craft card base. What do you think? I would love to hear in the comments below!

That's all I have for you today, friends! Thank you so much for stopping by! I always love to hear from you, so please do let me know your thoughts in the comments below! Don't forget to head over to join in our *NEW* challenge for your chance at winning some digital goodies from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Until next time, HUGS and happy {digital} stamping, friends!
