Hello, all! Happy February! We are SO excited to begin another challenge and to be able to share a *NEW* release set from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop blog!

This month's set is called Valentine Roses!

January Freebie Panel

Hi, friends! I have decided to do something NEW for the NEW YEAR! Each month I will be providing you with a freebie panel using that month's release set from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! They will all be 8" x 10" so that they can be printed and used as home decor.

This month's featured set is Framed Favorites!

And here is this month's panel!

Now, some info about the freebie. There are just 3 rules about this, and future, freebie panels: 

1) You may not sell any cards you make using this panel. 

2) You may only use this panel to enter MHKDesigns challenges ONCE.

3) You may ONLY alter the size of the panel as a whole. Cropping elements (images or sentiments) to use on their own is NOT allowed. 

I'm hoping the honor system will work with these freebies so that I can continue to share them with you all!

Welcome to another post of inspiration using the MHKDesigns release set for this month, Framed Favorites! Here is my card for today, enjoy!

The inspiration comes from our new release set:
Framed Favorites

The framed pansies are angled for a more contemporary design.
The patterned paper comes from MHKDesign Digital Paper Pack called:
Worn & Weathered

I love this paper pack!
It has become a go-to for my digital designs.

The flowers were colored manually with Copic Markers (Christmas Gift!)
Thought this project would be a perfect place to break them in.

Embellishments were kept to a minimum with 3 enamel dots.
The sentiment looks fantastic against the white space.

MHK Designer Inspiration - Rocky

      This new set from MHK Designs has a very topical saying which I made use of on this card, the new film about Winston Churchill is one I shall certainly be going to watch. This set has many options, I chose to make a congratulatory card, ideal for a hard working student.
     The wreath was changed to green, as was the wording, and printed out on white card. With the addition of some colour around the edge and pearl relief drops there is very little decoration added to this.
     A dark green mat layer to frame the image panel was the last addition before being stuck on to a white card blank. There are so many things that you could do with these frames, I think this set has to be one of my favourites.

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Julie

Hello, crafty friends!  It's Julie here today, with another take on this month's new release, Framed Favorites, found in the Etsy Shop.

I used Faber-Castell pencils on Kraft on one of the framed flower images that come with the Framed Favorites digital stamp set.  I kept the rest of the card simple so the image would be the focal point.  There is a bit of MHKDesigns Seaside Digital Paper Pack on the card.

It's Judy here to share a project I created with 

this month's New Release Set from

MHKDesigns.

Framed Favorites 

I created a card using one of the images and sentiments, 2 different

patterned papers and a couple of enamel dots.

I colored the image with pencils and cut with a circle die.

 I framed the die cut with a scalloped circle die cut.

The circles were adhered to the patterned paper background.

The sentiment was printed and hand cut into a banner shape.

I finished with the enamel dots.

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Mynn

Hi, all! I'm back with another card using the *NEWLY RELEASED* Framed Favorites digital stamp set from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! I went almost one layer for this card. Take a peek...

I created my card in Photoshop. I added some texture to the background, the added the wreath and sentiment from the Framed Favorites digital stamp set. I added more color to the wreath using various brushes.

Some burlap ribbon and washi tape were added to give more balance and texture to the card. I then punched the bottom corners to add a finished feel. I love this so much, and I hope you like it, too! Please feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
