June Challenge

Hi, friends!  Happy June!  Before we get started with this month's challenge, I wanted to remind your that June is a release month!  Our posts for the release will always be on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th on release months (February, April, June, August, and October), and I hope to be able to share a video like this each month!

Our challenge runs from the 1st of the month until the last day of the month. Each month we will always have a photo inspiration so that anyone can play along, but if you use products from the MHKDesigns store, you can link up ANYTHING!  If you didn't catch it, yesterday I gave away a FREEBIE card front that you can use to play along this month, as well!

Serene Seaside FREEBIE Panel!

Hello, friends! May is about to wrap up, and that means it's time for me to share another FREEBIE panel for you to use in our monthly challenge next month! I chose to use the Serene Seaside digital stamp set and Serene Seaside digital paper pack for this month's freebie. Take a peek...

I printed the panel out twice so that I could fussy cut the seashells and pop them up for added dimension. I then added various pearls and some faux stitching for texture. I would love to hear what you think of my card in the comments below!

Now, some info about the freebie. The print size of this panel is 3.75" x 5". There are just 3 rules about this, and future, freebie panels: 1) You may not sell any cards you make using this panel. 2) You may use this panel to enter the March 2017 MHKDesigns challenge only.  Entries in future challenges using this panel will be deleted. 3) You may NOT alter the panel in any way, including recoloring or cropping digitally.  This includes cropping the panel so that you may use the sentiment on other projects.  I'm hoping the honor system will work with these freebies so that I can continue to share them with you all!

MHK Designer Inspiration ~ Asmah

Hello friends! Welcome to another episode of MHK Designer Inspiration and today is my turn presenting you my easel card creation using MHKDesigns digital stamps.

 I fussy cut Get Well Flowers digital stamp and adhered on my creation. 

This is one of my favorite digital stamp sets from MHKDesigns and love fussy cut the flowers.

 The sentiment is from Lovely Ladies digital stamp set.

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my May designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. For my project, I created a lovely floral card with the Open Bloom digital stamp set.

 The flower image was printed in black and colored in shades of blue. I layered clear glitter over the petals and leaves to give them tons of shimmer. I also adhered clear enamel dots to the center of both flowers; the glossy finish gives a water-like look.

This wonderful set includes several sentiments, but I thought this one was perfect for a year-round card. I printed it out in an ombre font color. The plum and gold color combo looks awesome and really coordinates well with the blue.

To complete this design, I layered the card on a pearl navy paper and teal floral pattern paper. I think the dark blue is a great mat color and the teal paper adds more pops of color. Lastly, I created an olive green card base from heavy card stock and embellished with white gel pen.

MHK Designer Inspiration - Monica

Hi everyone it's Monica from Taylormadecards4u. I am here today with my Designer inspiration for MHK Designs. I am using one of my favorite sets called "The Write Stuff".

Many people may not know that not only am I am paper crafter, but I sew as well. My sewing machine has been put away for awhile, but recently I have been inspired to bring it out of the closet and start incorporating my sewing into my paper crafting.

I was at a local fabric shop recently as saw this cute fabric. I just couldn't resist it as I know I had the perfect digital images to create a note card set.  I think they are a pretty cute pair, what do you think?
