MHKDesigner Inspiration - Monica

Hi everyone and welcome to my Designer inspiration for the month of April.

Today I am sharing with you an image from one of the Masculine sections over at MHKDesigns called Dear Dad. There are several great images and sentiments in this set that work great for Father's Day.

It is available over at the MHKDesigns Etsy shop along with many other wonderful sets.

I wanted to go with a Retro grunge feel to this card. After I colored in the images, I used a stitch die cut to frame my image. I then stamped the a few grungy dots on various parts of the card.

I adhered the framed image to some polka dot paper and added some washi tape. I Outlined the washi tape using a distress crayon - Black Soot.

Thanks for stopping by!

MHKDesigner Inspiration - Julie

Hello, everyone!  Is this really almost the middle of April?  I hope you are having springtime weather where you live!  This is Julie with you today from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  If you've been following my cancer journey with me, I had a PET scan last week, and it showed that I'm in complete remission!  Thank you for all your prayers and kind thoughts!  Tomorrow, I have a bone marrow biopsy.  It is (hopefully) the last test needed to show I'm in remission.  We won't know whether the cancer is gone from my bone marrow & spinal fluid without this test.  Your prayers are appreciated for this one, too!

There are many new releases this month in the MHKDesigns Etsy Store.  I'm featuring one today that has a masculine feel.  It's perfect for Father's Day or masculine birthdays.  Here's a tag I made featuring "Dear Dad".

April Release: Birdcage Silhouettes

Hello, friends!  Welcome to the April 2017 Release for the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop!  I have 5 fabulous  new sets to share this month and they cover MANY occasions!  I just know you will LOVE all the creations that my team and I have to share, as well!  Today's set is called...

And here is my card~

I used Photoshop to create a birdcage scene in the top right corner of the card panel, then added a sentiment that I edited to create an ombre effect in the opposite corner. I added a few punched leaves, some rhinestone flowers with liquid pearl centers, and staples as embellishments.  It's matted with pink glitter paper, so this card is SUPER shiny in real life! Hope you love it! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! :)

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Shawna

Hello Friends,

For today I have an inspiration card using your MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. MHKDesigns makes it easy to create fantastic, elegant cards. Case in point, here is my card for today, enjoy!

You will see me use the 'Birdcage Silhouettes' many times throughout
my posts. This set is so pretty and versatile.
______________________________
MHKDesigns vintage images work so well with each other.
I invite you to check out her Etsy store and see for yourself
the versatility of stamp sets and the variety of digital papers we have to offer

______________________________

The flowers were outlined using an art sharpie pen and then
filled in using alcohol markers.

I hope this picture does the card justice by showing the outer border of the card.
You will see a pattern foiled in silver. This was done using a premade pattern (by others) and some foil paper pulled it through a heat machine and done! Keep an eye out, because I think I am going to use the negative image for another card.
The black polka-dotted ribbon lets that birdcage standout.
Plus, I think it frames the design in nicely.

Since you are here, I encourage you to browse our blog and see more inventive ideas from our design team. It is our hope that you can play along with our monthly challenge. If not, just enjoy a bit of eye candy.

There is a lot more to discover at MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Stop on over and see what we have to offer. It is certain to spark the imagination. So, thank you for stopping by and hope to see you soon. Take care and happy crafting.

All the best,

MHK Designer Inspiration - Rocky

We have some fabulous new releases for you this month, this is one of them, Funky Flowers.
The images were printed on white card arranged around the sentiment to form a frame. The sentiment should have come out green but due to a small hiccup with my printer it is a little more yellow, a lucky mishap as it turns out because now it goes so well with the flowers.
The flowers are coloured in with some fine tip pens I have in my stash, then the image panel is mounted on a pearl orange layer before going on a Kraft card blank. Nice and flat for easy posting, here in the UK we have to pay more if it's considered too thick, something to do with the sorting machines I think.
You can find this set in our Etsy shop but if you would like to win it then take a look at the release posts to find out how. Don't forget you can also win images by joining our monthly challenge.

  Happy Crafting.
