MHK Designer Inspiration - Monica

Hi everyone and welcome to my Designer inspiration for MHKDesigns.

Today I am sharing with you an image from one of my favorite sets from MHKDesigns called The Write Stuff.

It is available over at the MHKDesigns Etsy shop along with many other wonderful sets.

The Write Stuff
This card was so simple to make and I just love the way it turned out. I had some extra rub ons, so I used them to create my background.  I then matted my background onto some black card stock.

I used the typewriter and sentiment as my focal point and popped it up using some foam dots.

It is a very simple black and white card that was a lot of fun to create. I hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by!

MHKDesigner Inspiration - Jessica

Hello friends!

It's Jessica here with my monthly showcase!

I used the Realistic Roses stamp set to make this card.  The digital stamp image was printed onto photo paper and then I used different distress mediums to color it. I used some embellishment mousse dissolved in water and sprayed onto the page, watercolor crayons to add color the roses and embellishment mousse on the edges!

I hope you love this card!  It was easy to make and fun to play with!

Until next time,

MHKDesigner Inspiration -- Julie

Hello, my crafty friends!  It's Julie with you today, and I'm so pleased to be here!

Are you enjoying this month's New Releases?  Aren't they wonderful?!?  I've been having so much fun with them!  Today, I'm sharing a new release that you'll see more of in a couple of days.  The new release is called Lovely Ladies. There are 3 equally Lovely Ladies in the digital set, and 4 great sentiments.

I adore shaped cards, and make them often.  Here's a shape I haven't made before, but I thought it framed this Lovely Lady well:

She didn't seem to need any coloring to me at all.  I printed her on colored card stock, then cut her out with an oval die.  Papers for this card are from MHKDesigns Damsel in Distress digital paper pack.  The sentiment is part of the Lovely Ladies set

Have you joined the MHKDesigns monthly challenge yet?  It's Anything Goes, if you use an MHKDesigns product. You still have lots of time to enter -- it goes until the end of the month.  Come join the fun!  I'd love to see what you make!  Check out the MHKDesigner and Friends Facebook group, too. There's lots of great inspiration there!

And here is my card~

I colored this image with colored pencils, added a bit of faux stitching, then anchored it with baker's twine and a button.  I added it to an easel card base prepped with patterned paper from the *NEW* Rosy Posy paper pack, a doily, and some washi tape.  The sentiment holds the easel up, and it is backed by the same yellow polka dotted paper from the *NEW* Rosy Posy paper pack.

And now, let's talk about how to get this new set OR the entire release for FREE!  Here's what you'll need to do...

MHK Designer Inspiration- Shawna

Hello MHK Friends,

I'm here to show you an inspiration card using your MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. Shabby Chic has never been my style but I was so inspired by my teammate, Asmah Zainal Abidin work, that I had to give it a try. Here is my card for today, enjoy.

If you haven't checked out Asmah's blog yet, I highly suggest
it! She is a very talented and inspiring artist. She is sure to amaze.
For this card, I used a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 folded the long length of the paper.
This card seems larger because it is large.
It can, however, fit perfectly in a business size envelope.

MHKDesigns vintage images work so well with each other.
I invite you to check out our Etsy store and see for yourself
the versatility of stamp sets and the variety of digital papers we have to offer.

Using the new Hoppy Easter digital stamp set!

________________________________________

My starting point was the clock patterned paper.
From there I used muted colors of peach and grays to round out the design.

Below/Left: The sentiment seems appropriate. It seems to be a happy card with the hope of Spring right around the corner.  Bottom/Right: You may have noticed the die cut roman numeral clock by the bunny. That was die cut and spritzed with white acrylic paint and water. I also added some faded text around the edges and also decided to distress them for a bit of texture.

Since you are here, I encourage you to browse our blog and see more inventive ideas from our design team. It is our hope that you can play along with our monthly challenge. If not, just enjoy a bit of eye candy.

There is also a lot more to discover at MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Stop on over and see what we have to offer. It is certain to spark the imagination. So, thank you for stopping by and hope to see you soon. Take care and happy crafting.

All the best,
