MHK Designer Inspiration- Shawna

Hello MHK Friends,

I'm here to show you an inspiration card using your MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. Shabby Chic has never been my style but I was so inspired by my teammate, Asmah Zainal Abidin work, that I had to give it a try. Here is my card for today, enjoy.

it! She is a very talented and inspiring artist. She is sure to amaze.
For this card, I used a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 folded the long length of the paper.
This card seems larger because it is large.
It can, however, fit perfectly in a business size envelope.

My starting point was the clock patterned paper.
From there I used muted colors of peach and grays to round out the design.

Below/Left: The sentiment seems appropriate. It seems to be a happy card with the hope of Spring right around the corner.  Bottom/Right: You may have noticed the die cut roman numeral clock by the bunny. That was die cut and spritzed with white acrylic paint and water. I also added some faded text around the edges and also decided to distress them for a bit of texture.

MHK Designer Inspiration - Rocky

     As it's coming up to Valentine's Day I thought I would use one of my favourite stamp sets, I've Been Framed. Being able to mix and match the frames with the sentiments means there are many possibilities with this set.
     Black seemed a little harsh so this is all printed in a dark grey with a hint of red, onto a paper from the World Traveler set that's got a dusky pink overlay, I think it has a slightly vintage look to it.
     The mat layer and the edge of the card blank have been inked to match and a few tiny red gems added to the flowers to add sparkle.

And here is my card~

I colored the image with alcohol markers and then added some shine with glitter.  Some faux stitching, rhinestones, ribbon, and a punched border frame my image panel.  The patterned paper below the punched border is from the Get Well Flowers paper pack!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Judy

Good morning friends, followers and fellow crafters!

Today is my day to share a little inspiration here at

MHKDesigns!

I created a note card set using

Blossoming.

The set includes a box and 12 cards, in 6 designs, 

envelopes & a pen.

This would make a great gift. And came together pretty quickly.

All was made with 8.5 x 11 inch solid color card stock, 

one sheet for the box and 6 for the A2 sized cards. 

I colored the images with pencils and fussy cut. 

I did a little embossing and added some pearls 

to the simply designed cards.

I used a die cut label, ribbon and pearls to embellish the box.

February Challenge

Hi, friends!  Happy February!  Before we get started with this month's challenge, I wanted to let you know that I have a video on YouTube with a sneak peek of the February release!  Our posts for the release will always be on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th on release months (February, April, June, August, and October), and I hope to be able to share a video like this each month!

Our challenge runs from the 1st of the month until the last day of the month. Each month we will always have a photo inspiration so that anyone can play along, but if you use products from the MHKDesigns store, you can link up ANYTHING!  If you didn't catch it, yesterday I gave away a FREEBIE card front that you can use to play along this month, as well!
