MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my first designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. For my project, I created a card using the lovely Butterfly Wisdom digital stamp set.

I selected two of the butterflies included in the set and colored them with markers. I layered clear glitter over the wings to give a shimmery rainbow look; love the sparkle!
To add a little color on the base paper, I made little dots in coordinating marker colors. I like that the background has some color, but the pattern is not too busy.

The sentiment used was "Change Is A Beautiful Process" printed in a berry font color. I added one of the butterflies to the sentiment to look as if it's resting on the letter. I love this quote and think it's a perfect card for so many occasions.

To complete the design, I used a metallic shimmer layer and a beautiful flower pattern paper base. This card is so pretty and I cannot wait to gift it to someone special!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Monica

Hi everyone! Today I am here to share with you  my MHKDesigner inspiration post. I am new to the design team, but hope to bring you some Vintage inspiration every month on my designer spotlight.

The sentiment I am using is from the set The Write Stuff and is available in the  MHKDesigns Etsy Store.

Using Pic Monkey I imported the key and sentiment and printed it out on white card stock.  Using my copic colors I colored in the key and used a die cut to cut out two pieces of paper. I matted both pieces onto some black card stock using some metal brads and added some matching washi tape with keys. I also added some black and white twine.

I then matted my finished piece onto some white card stock.

Thanks for stopping by!

Designer Inspiration - Julie (Sending Prayers)

Happy Friday!  It's Julie with you today.  It's a pleasure to be here!  It's an even greater pleasure to showcase the Get Well Flowers digital stamp set and papers, created in my honor.

Today, I have a PET scan.  It will hopefully show that, after 3 chemotherapy treatments, my Lymphoma is in remission.  I am praying furtively for that!

This card says it all!

Both the beautiful flower and sentiment are from the Get Well Flowers digital stamp set.  The gorgeous designer papers on the border and the sentiment tag are from the Get Well Digital Papers.

Have you entered this month's MHKDesigns challenge?  You can win both of these sets!  You have all month!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Shawna

Hello Friends,

For today I have an inspiration card using your MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. Here is my card for today, enjoy.

The large anchor seems to fit nicely with
the blended sentiment.

MHKDesigns vintage images work so well with each other.
I invite you to check out her Etsy store and see for yourself
the versatility of stamp sets and variety of digital papers we have to offer
_________________________________________
Traditional elements like the anchor are blended nicely
with the contemporary grunge and distressed edges.

The anchor was copied twice and then mounted on two sheets of 110lb. cardstock.
A bit (well a lot) of fussy cutting made for a nice dimensional element.
I encourage you to stop by theMHKDesigns blog to see more inventive ideas from our design team, and then play along with our monthly challenge, or just enjoy a bit of eye candy.

There is a lot more to discover at MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Stop on over and see what we have to offer. It is certain to spark the imagination. So, thank you for stopping by and hope to see you soon. Take care and happy crafting.

ll the best,

Designer Inspiration - Rocky

These cards are a variation on this months MHK Designs challenge card, the same picture but with different words, the beauty of this stamp set is they are coloured images.
I have written myself a little crib sheet so I don't forget how to do these again. My photo package sends the image to print out with the left hand side (viewed landscape) being the top of the paper, so to get the image on the righthand side of an A5 piece of card the correct way up I have to turn it around, then tell it it's a 6x4 card. It then prints it the correct way up on the right of the A5 card so I can fold it in half to make my CAS card. I printed the flowers first and then ran it through again for the sentiment.
Sounds complicated?......it's not really, my explanation may not be that good but it does work, or should I say for my package and printer it works. I suggest you play around on copy paper to see what your set up can do. You may be lucky enough to have a package to do it all at once, this is what I've come across for my basic outfit.
Making a batch of CAS cards like this is ideal for a small gift, a thoughtful way of saying thank you to someone.

MHKDeisgner Inspiration: Judy

Hey there!
It's Judy here sharing a little inspiration!

I love taking inexpensive composition books
and altering the cover to make them
a little more special.

I took one of the images from
and did just that!

I printed the image on kraft card stock and die cut.
I did the same with the sentiment.
I used some printed kraft card stock
to accent the image and added some enamel dots.
Not a lot of work to make a big impact!

Be sure and check this set out along with the other products at
