MHKDesigner Inspiration: Asha

Hello, friends! Welcome to November and it's my turn  to bring you some MHKDesigns inspiration. I am showcasing images from the October release called Chicken In.

I decided to use the beautiful chickens for my card. This is an adorable image and a treat to colour. I thought going CAS would be the best route.  So I coloured these guys with Faber Castell Polychromos and added some interest with Silver Liquid Pearls.

Come back soon for more inspiration from the rest of the design team. And don't forget to join in our MHKD October / November Challenge and you might just win some fabby prizes! Also, we are having a DT Call so if you are interested please check out this post for details on how to apply.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a beautiful day!

Beijinhos!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Mynn Kitchen + DT Call!

Hey, friends!  Before we get started, I want to let you know that we are looking for our 2017 team starting TODAY!  You can get ALL the details HERE, so stop by and apply!  I love seeing all your gorgeous work, and I can't wait to see who applies this time around!

I am super excited to share my card with you today!  This card uses some lovely digital products from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop, and I've got a video tutorial on how I created the effect, as well!  Take a peek at the completed card...

Fun, right?!  I decided for this card that i was going to play around with the Triple Time Stamping technique, but with digis!  Here's a quick run down of what I did (video tutorial can be found HERE on my YouTube station):
  1. Print out the image (mine from the Blossoming digital stamp set) three times, in the same size.
  2. Die cut each panel using nesting dies in three sizes.
  3. Color all images the same way.
  4. Add sentiment (mine from the Pansy Corner digital stamp set) to the top panel. (Optional--you could also print the sentiment as part of your main panels, if desired.)
  5. Layer with simple matting.

Totally simple, right?!  I used Spectrum Noir markers to color the image from the Blossoming digital stamp set.  I went with oranges and yellows, and I love the way the colors POP with the black matting!

The sentiment, from the Pansy Corner digital stamp set, was printed onto vellum, then added to the top panel before I adhered it in place.  I decided to keep this card flat, so I didn't use dimensional foam.  It will be PERFECT for sending in the mail! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you join the monthly challenge we have going on at MHKDesigns!  Grab these goodies from the Etsy shoptake a peek at the video tutorial I have on how to create this technique, and get crafting today!  I'll be back later this month with more crafty posts!  Until then, HUGS and happy stamping, friends! :)

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Shawna Standish

Hello MHKDesign Fans,

For today I have an inspiration card using your MHKDesigns digital stamps. Here is my card for today, enjoy.

A shaker card seemed to add an extra Christmas
touch to our adorable rocking horse.
Lightly sponged the edges gray to create a more subtle feel to the card.

MHKDesigns vintage images work so well with each other.
I invite you to check out her Etsy store and see for yourself
the versatility of stamp sets and variety of digital papers we have to offer
___________________________________________________

I used three sets from MHKDesigns stamp sets. These stamps are so versatile
and fun to play with. You can resize and flip the image which is something that is
nearly impossible to get this resolution when flipping an image with rubber/polymer stamps.
Digital stamps- no problem!

Above Left: Detail showing the luster and shininess of the sequins. Right: Another detail showing the beautiful iridescent sparkle and shine.

I will encourage you to stop by the MHKDesigns blog to see more inventive ideas from our design team, and then play along with our monthly challenge, or just enjoy a bit of eye candy.

There is a lot more to discover at MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! Stop on over and see what we have to offer. It is certain to spark the imagination. So, thank you for stopping by and hope to see you soon. Take care and happy crafting.

All the best,

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Lorie Ames

Hello and Happy Saturday all!  This is Lorie stopping in with a card for that upcoming rather cool season here in the Pacific Northwest called...winter, ugh, I know cold and snow.  Being that I grew up in Wisconsin the weather here isn't really all that bad.  (Trying to put a positive spin on it can ya tell? ;) )

I know you aren't here to read about the weather though so lets get to the cuteness shall we?

Eek, that Snow Baby is adorable isn't it?  As with all of her designs this vintage look is so on point with this Snow Babies set and the sentiments wonderful!  No special techniques on this card other than some fun with paperclips, bling, and some enamel dots.

Soooo...have you been to check out our challenge for the month yet?  NO?  What?  Okay, click HERE and check it to play along!  Well, that is it for me!  Go...have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you again later!

MHKD Designer Inspiration : SathyaSankaran

Hi Crafty Friends!

This is Designer SathyaSankaran for the Monthly Inspiration.

This time, played with one of my fave digiset, "Blossoming "

  • Printed the digi images in the drawing sheet and colored it with Faber castell bicolor pencils.
  • Fussy cut them and added with few MFT florish diecuts, which are colored using Zig clean color brush pens.

  • Wish to keep the sentiment as Focal element and so, diecut it with Spellbinder frame die and added the fussy cut florals around it.
  • These are mounted on to the base A2 white cardstock using foam adhesives.

Hope you like this simple card.
