MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my June designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. For my project, I created a card with the beautiful Flutter & Fly digital stamp set; one of my favorite sets!

To create this vintage card, I printed the frame and two bird images in black and colored them with markers in pale tones. I also used distress ink to age the white paper; the all-white background was too bright, but the lightly faded distressed color looks awesome!

The sentiment was printed inside of the lovely frame and I chose a dark purple font color to allow it to really stand out.  To embellish, I used gold glitter and 4 pearls. The glitter adds a soft sparkle and the pearls add to the vintage feel.

Lastly, a metallic gold striped pattern paper was layered on a dark red square card base. The gold shines in the light and the colors work great with the distressed paper. I love this card and this digital stamp set!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed the card for today!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my May designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. For my project, I created a lovely floral card with the Open Bloom digital stamp set.

The flower image was printed in black and colored in shades of blue. I layered clear glitter over the petals and leaves to give them tons of shimmer. I also adhered clear enamel dots to the center of both flowers; the glossy finish gives a water-like look.

This wonderful set includes several sentiments, but I thought this one was perfect for a year-round card. I printed it out in an ombre font color. The plum and gold color combo looks awesome and really coordinates well with the blue.

To complete this design, I layered the card on a pearl navy paper and teal floral pattern paper. I think the dark blue is a great mat color and the teal paper adds more pops of color. Lastly, I created an olive green card base from heavy card stock and embellished with white gel pen.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you are inspired to create with the beautiful Open Bloom digital stamp set!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my April designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. For my project, I created a Clean & Simple card using the Get Well Flowers digital stamp set.

To create this card, I printed one of the floral images out in purple and layered clear glitter over it. I colored the petals with light pink and purple markers to add more detail.
Layers of metallic purple and purple glitter paper were used to coordinate with the flower color and add shimmer. I really enjoyed working with various shades of one color!

The sentiment selected was "Get Well Soon" and it was printed in a dark purple font color. I cut the ends to create a banner and layered it across the printed image with foam tape.

Lastly, I added two sizes of pearl embellishments and created a base from textured pastel purple paper to complete the design.

I hope you enjoyed this card and be sure to check out the MHKDesigns Blog for more inspiration!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my March designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. This month I wanted to create a card using the beautiful Realistic Roses Digital Stamp Set; the rose images are so pretty!

The digital stamp design was printed on white card stock and I used distress ink create a more vintage look. The roses were colored with markers and accented with glitter and white gel pen. The pink is perfect for a spring card!

The sentiment was printed in a dark pink font color to coordinate with the roses. I love this quote and wanted it to pop off the page, but not over-power the roses; I think it's a great balance!

To complete the card, I created pink ribbon corners and used textured green and navy layers. I adore pink and green color combinations, so lovely!

I hope you enjoyed this project and are inspired to create with Realistic Roses Digital Stamp Set!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my February designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. For my project, I created a card using the lovely Pretty Petunias Digital Stamp Set.

This set has one of my favorite flower images, and I wanted to create something light and pretty that could be sent to someone special anytime of the year. The images were printed on white card stock and colored with markers. I also used tons of clear glitter on the flower petals; the shimmer is so beautiful!!!

The sentiment selected was "Hello Friend" and was printed in blue to coordinate with the color of the flower.

To complete the card, I framed it with a blue pattern paper and added sequins for additional sparkle. The card was also layered on a light blue card base and I left the inside blank to allow room for a custom handwritten message.

I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to create with the Pretty Petunias digital stamp set!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Tasha

Hi everyone, Tasha here with my first designer project for MHKDesigns digital stamps and papers. For my project, I created a card using the lovely Butterfly Wisdom digital stamp set.

I selected two of the butterflies included in the set and colored them with markers. I layered clear glitter over the wings to give a shimmery rainbow look; love the sparkle!
To add a little color on the base paper, I made little dots in coordinating marker colors. I like that the background has some color, but the pattern is not too busy.

The sentiment used was "Change Is A Beautiful Process" printed in a berry font color. I added one of the butterflies to the sentiment to look as if it's resting on the letter. I love this quote and think it's a perfect card for so many occasions.

To complete the design, I used a metallic shimmer layer and a beautiful flower pattern paper base. This card is so pretty and I cannot wait to gift it to someone special!
