Designer Inspiration: Julie

Greetings, crafty friends.  It's Julie with you today.  I'm totally in love with this month's release, Caring Crocus.

My favorite color of Crocus are violet, so that's what I used to create today's card:

MHKDesigns Inspiration: Mynn

Hi, all! I'm back with another card using the *NEWLY RELEASED* Valentine Roses digital stamp set from the MHKDesigns Etsy Shop! I used a variety of patterned paper packs to create this card, as well as this *NEW* set. Take a peek...

I created the focal panel for this card in photoshop using the Digital Paper Fill technique to "color" in the image from the Valentine Roses digital stamp set. The paper packs used are Rosy Posy, Get Well Flowers, and French Country.

I "rearranged" this simple sentiment from the Valentine Roses digital stamp set to fit inside of a circle, then recolored it using THIS technique. The sentiment circle was punched out and given dimension and I added a bit of glitter gel pen for a shiny shadow effect. A tiny enamel heart was added, as well.

Some shiny washi tape, twine, and a flower shaped button finished the focal panel off. I then matted it with black and added it to a craft card base. What do you think? I would love to hear in the comments below!

MHKDesigner Inspiration -- Julie

Butterflies, birds, flowers -- it's been a great month of new releases so far, hasn't it?  This is Julie from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers with you today.  I love to color flowers, and I colored up a New Release, Hollyhock of Happiness on this card.  There's always a great sentiment to go with it!

Those hollyhocks were so fun to color!  This time, I used color pencils on them, and had them take up the whole left-hand side of the card.  I added a die-cut butterfly to the white space above the sentiment (found in the Hollyhock of Happiness digital stamp set), mounted the card front on a piece of MHKDesigns Rosy Posy digital paper, and the card was complete.

And here is my card~

This has to be one of my favorite sets that I've made to date! I added the sentiment to the inside of the frame image before printing it off. I colored the frame with a Wink of Stella gold pen and Sakura gel pens. The birds were simply printed and fussy cut before being added. I chose to back my focal panel on a doily, then place it on top of some polka dot paper from the Rosy Posy paper pack. I love the soft colors and vintage feel of this card! What do you think?! After using Photoshop to create my card panels, I added some shine with a few rhinestones. I chose to back my focal panel on a card base made with paper from the Rosy Posy paper pack. Hello, my stamp happy friends! It's Julie here with you today.   Do you ever have a card that you absolutely love how it turned out?  That's how today's card is for me.  Looking at it makes me smile!   I want to show it to you:

I created this card using the MHKDesigns Beauty Digital Stamp Set.   Aren't those delicate flowers exquisite?

I colored the flower from the MHKDesigns Beauty digital set with color pencils.  The sentiment is also from the MHKDesigns Beauty set. 

Papers for this card, also from MHKDesigns,  are the new Rosy Posy digital paper set.  They are a little touch of Springtime!
