MHKDesigner Inspiration: Judy

Happy Friday!
It's Judy here with my turn to share a little inspiration
using this month's New Release Set from

I used a classic black and white color scheme
for my card and love the way it turned out.

I started with a 6.5 x 5 inch white card base.
I chose 2 coordinating  designer papers.
One of the papers was cut to 6 x 4.5 inches
and matted with a 6.25 x 4.75 inch piece of black card stock.
The other designer paper was cut to a smaller rectangular shape and matted.
The image was printed and die cut in a circle shape.
I adhered a black paper doily to the card and added the die cut image.
I printed one of the sentiments from the set and die cut.
This die cut was popped with foam tape.
A black satin ribbon was added to complete.

I hope I've provided you just a little bit of inspiration today!

I fussy cut and popped with foam tape on die cut ovals.

One print was used to cover the front and back of the composition book.
The second was used behind the the focals. I took a piece of the

third paper and fussy cut the fashion images. The binding was
covered with the fourth paper. I added some black ribbon to the
binding side and another piece of ribbon to tie thee journal shut.

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Judy

Hello all!

It's Judy here
sharing my Inspiration Project for August!

I have a lot of time on my hands lately
so I've been experimenting with some new, to me, types of paper crafts.

This is a mixed media canvas I created using the

I used quite a variety of items and mediums on this 7x14" canvas.
The 3 butterflies and sentiment were colored with pencils & fussy cut.
The canvas was painted, first, with 3 different glimmer mists.
I added texture with a stencil & texture paste.
I added wooded elements which were painted with metallic acrylic paint.
I framed the sentiment with a die cut,
which I also painted to match the wood pieces.
There are a few metal pieces at the top.
I added paper flowers and finished up m with some pearls.

Here are some close ups

I will definitely be doing more pieces like this!

I hope I have inspired you to try something new & to
