MHKDesigner Inspiration: Donna

 Donna here with my monthly inspiration post for MHKDesigns:

 

I used Open Bloom Digital set.  I printed both the saying and flower on vellum so I could emboss them in silver.  To emboss you must have your embossing powder ready sprinkle on your vellum immediately  after printing.  I then layered the vellum over a deep peach color to get the look I wanted.  The silver background was done with an embossing folder.

I used Beautiful Bottles  from the July release, this is a fabulous set and the creations by the  design were amazing, you may want to go back and check them out

. 

First I printed the bottle and saying on vellum and as soon as they came off the printer poured gold embossing powder over the print and them embossed.  I layered on a glossy white paper with just a tinge of pastel color to it.  My background is of 1/4 inch strips of paper glued to a sheet of paper and trimmed to 5 1/4" by 4" and then embossed with an embossing folder and layered on gold.  This would be a good technique to use up scraps of papers.

Hello!  It's Donna here with my September Inspiration Post for MHKDesigns!

I used Open Blooms digital set. I made my background with Brusho's. and then  fussy out 3 of each flower for layering, colored with Copics, glittered the flower centers with Doodle Bug Designs Sugar Coating metallic glitter and die cut the center of my card front with Standard Circles large.   I positioned my sentiment from the same set to be centered in my circle. This card will go in the mail to someone who needs a boost. I think this is such an uplifting saying.

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Donna

Hello!  Its Donna here with my July Inspiration Post for MHKDesigns!

 I used Tulip of Thanks and colored it with Copics  and  layered it using stitched dies, added some Sparkle and Sprinkle Opaque Bridal glitter to the flower, and a few pearls.  That's all it needed.  Be sure to check out MHKDesigns Etsy shop and our current monthly challenge!

MHKDesigns Inspiration Post

 

Donna here with my June inspiration post for MHKDesigns.  I can't get enough of this adorable bird, so fun to color with my Copics and the sayings with it are wonderful.  I embossed a Cuttlebug folder with a branch and birds design, masked it with painters tape and then covered it with several colors of Perfect Pearls until I got the blue shimmer I wanted.   A few layers and I was happy.

 

A few baby birds from our back yard, you can just barely see there little beaks, they pop there little heads up when we get ready to go out on the boat when I start talking to them.  Mom and dad don't like it when I talk to them for too long, they start squawking:
