| I do enjoy the cozy colors of this scene. Nice browns warm up the scene. The snow was stenciled using VersaMark Ink and 'Winter Wonderland' embossing powder. I do really enjoy how it turned out. ____________________________

It's Friday, my crafty friends! This is Julie with you today, and I have a trio of Christmas cards to recap with you from this past year. I've begun writing my Christmas cards this week, and these 3 are some of my favorites!
The first card uses the Christmas Frames digital stamp set and Simply Seasonal digital papers.
The second card uses Deck the Halls digital stamp set and Simply Seasonal digital papers.
The 3rd card uses the Deck the Halls digital stamp set and Deck the Halls digital papers.
You'll find all the MHKDesigns products, and many more great ones, in the MHKDesigns Etsy Store. Mynn has been running some great sales, so check often!
I wish you all a happy, healthy holiday season!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Asha
Good morning, friends! Welcome to our last month of MHKDesigner Inspiration blog posts for the year. As you already know, every month our Design Team will showcase a project featuring products available in the MHKDesigns Etsy Store.
December is also a month to reflect on the year that was with pleasure or ...horror. I generally tend to wonder: Where did the year go? What have I done? .... and then I panic about my annual state of unpreparedness for Christmas. Happens every single year... without fail!
Today I want to share a card I made in August featuring a digi called Christmas Frames. It's a simple card. No patterned papers. I splattered some white and silver paint on the blue card base and added the design panel directly on it.
I struggled to keep this card as simple as possible. I added little drops of liquid pearls for the holly berries and tied a twine bow for a festive touch.
That's all from me this year. I hope Christmas fills your life with joy, your heart with peace and your home with love.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a Blessed Christmas season!

MHK Designer Inspiration - Rocky
This month I wanted to show you a selection of seasonal cards made with the same image from MHK Designs in a range of different colours.
I have to confess that I used to think digital images were just to be printed and coloured, Oh how wrong I was!
If you have time to play around with them using a photo package you can achieve so much more. Now I am not what I would call computer savvy, but through trial and error (non of them serious) I have learnt a little, with the help of YouTube tutorials by our very own Mynn and advice from friends I am slowly progressing. This makes digital images and papers SO much more useful and very good value for money.
After selecting my image I used my photo package to change the colours. This was done by sliding the Hue/Saturation scale, found under the heading Adjustments, up or down. Each time I saw a colour change I liked I saved it with a slightly different name and then continued until I had five variations and my original.
Using an oval die I cut them out and then coloured the edges with ink to draw the eye to the image.
The sentiment plaque in the image has rounded edges so I used a corner rounder to make my card blank match. The edges of the card are coloured to match the image panel, with small holly corners painted with the same ink the base card was finished.
A mirri mat layer under the image panel lifts the card giving it a little Christmas shine, it's mounted on foam pads to add a little more interest to a basic vintage effect card.
