MHKDesigner Inspiration: Judy

Hi there!

It's Judy here sharing my inspiration

for the month of November!

I've been working on making items to sell

at craft shows and decided to do some

quick and easy gift card holders

using the Deck the Halls  Stamp Set

&

Christmas Past Paper Set

I started by printing the stocking image 4 times,

colored with pencils and fussy cut.

Then I added some stickles for a little sparkle!

Cut a 3 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch piece of solid

card stock and a 2 1/4 & 3 1/4 inch piece of 

printed paper for each holder.

Take one piece of 3 /12 x 8 1/2 inch paper and score

2 inches from one end and 2 1/2 inches from the other.

Attach the printed papers to each end.

Glue the 2 1/2 inch scored end on each end 

to form the pocket to place the gift card in.

Decorate the outside as desired.

I die cut some ovals to pop my fussy cut stockings on and

glued to the top flap ( 2 1/2 inch end).

As the last step glue velcro to the inside of the top

flap and top of the bottom piece.

And, there you have it!

Quick and easy!

MHK Designer Inspiration: Rocky

     As we are celebrating Christmas in July I thought I would revisit two of last years seasonal releases, Holiday Deer and Christmas Past.
     The image of the deer has been altered slightly to remove some of the overhead foliage making it possible to use on a square card. I have used alcohol markers to colour the image and a glue pen to add glitter to the mountains and some foil berries.
     The mat layer is red foil, the same as the berries and then a layer of paper from the Christmas Past set altered to shades of green. With the addition of a die cut pine branch and greeting bauble the card is complete. The branch and bauble are on foam pads but it will still fit through standard post in the UK.

Hey there everyone!

It's Judy here sharing my inspiration for this month!

I am way behind on making Christmas cards, so

I decided to take this opportunity and make a card using

one of the many MHKDesigns holiday stamp sets,

Stencil in the Holidays.

I used the colored version of the poinsettia image, which is included with the set.

The image was printed in 2 sizes and fussy cut. 

I added some gold stickles to the center.

I arranged the flowers on the 2 coordinating DP panels

and added some pine springs, which were punched with a Martha Stewart punch. 

The sentiment was printed and die cut.

I finished up with some gems.
