MHKDesigns Inspiration: Shawna

Hello! Shawna here from TheGrandStampede. I would like to welcome you for those of you who came from my blog to see what the sneak peek was all about. This card a very modern twist on a very traditional element, the flower. However I'll let you decide, here is my inspiration card for today, enjoy.

The flowers were entered into a computer editing software; then by changing the flowers hue I could play with color. Each flower has its own color and a complimentary color for their square background.
MHKDesigns vintage images work so well with each other.
I invite you to check out her Etsy store and see for yourself
the versatility of stamp sets and variety of digital papers she has to offer.
I didn't want a traditional sentiment to distract from the design so
by die cutting the word 'hi' it makes a sentiment and a design element.
This is such a cool technique! You can see the sentiment but you may have to look awhile.
building up the die cut word adds interest and well... It is just cool!!

Thank you so much for stopping by at MHKDesigns. I hope you will be able to join us this month at MHKDesigns challenge blog. If you don't yet have MHKDesigns product, not to worry, no purchase necessary to enter. See you there!

All the best,

Happy Easter from MHKDesigns!

Hi, friends!  It's Mynn here to wish everyone a very Happy Easter!  I'm also excited to announce that we have a *NEW* junior designer on the team--Claire Hills!  Claire is my youngest sister, and is 13 years old.  She and I have been doing crafts together for years, and now I'm going to help her start blogging her creations. :)  She's got 2 cards to share with you made with products from the MHKDesigns Etsy shop especially for today's holiday.  Take a peek at the first one...

Claire used the He Is Risen digital stamp set and Very Distressing digital paper pack for this card.  She colored the image in with water based ink markers, then added the sentiment over the main panel with vellum.  Some black rhinestones were added for a bit more finish.

Her next card features an image and sentiment from the Easter Blessings digital stamp set.  She went with an easel card (her first!) for this card, and kept it mostly purple--our favorite color. ;)  Check it out...

She used some paper from the Easter Flowers digital paper pack to accent her base, then added some punched pieces, ribbon, and glossy dots for accents.  The sentiment was once again printed on vellum before adding it to the inside of the card to act as a stopper for the easel.  I love her burgundy, purple, and gray color scheme!

I just adore these two cards, and I hope you do, too!  Please leave a comment below to let Claire and I know what you think--I just know she'll appreciate your feedback! :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today, friends!  I hope you have a wonderful Easter filled with love and joy in our Savior.

We will have more DT creations for you coming soon AND a release in April, so stay tuned!  Until later, HUGS and happy stamping to you all, friends!

MHK Designer Inspiration: NanaConnie

This is my first opportunity to do a Designer Inspiration post since joining the team back in late January.  Last month, when it was my turn, I was unable to craft or post due to a hand injury so being able to do it now is a real treat.

My inspiration card today uses the clock image from the "Rock My World" set and paper from the "You've Been Spotted in Pastels" set.  I used this card for my granddaughter's birthday party which had a vintage Mad Hatter theme and the clock fit perfectly (White Rabbit scurrying along, shouting, "I'm late, I'm late!")

Have yourself a wonderful day, my friends.

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Michele

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for joining me today! I'm sharing a new spring card I created with a few adorable images available from MHKDesigns' Etsy Store, Friendship.

I used the touching image of the cow and the kitty and the "friends forever" sentiment to create a down on the farm image! I like the touch of color the sunflower brings!

Combining images and sentiments is easy when you have great inspiration from MHKDesigns! You can even play along with our current challenge for your chance at an amazing prize package.

Thanks for joining me today!
