MHKDesigner's Inspiration - NanaConnie

Today I'm sharing a Designer's Inspiration card with you which pleases me greatly because I managed to use a really cute, MHK Designs, non-holiday image (Cat to be Kitten Me) and turned it into a fun Thanksgiving card.

I colored that darling feline with ProMarkers, cut it with a Spellbinders die, and used houndstooth paper from the Autumnal Accents set.  Then I added die cut leaves in offset layers and tied one of my latest bowtie bows for embellishment.

Don't forget that our newest challenge is open and we have a wonderful inspiration photo as our theme.  However, if you use an image from MHK Designs, the theme is "Anything Goes."  Click on the "Current Challenge" tab up above to see the inspiration photo.

     Hope to see you there.

MHK Designer Inspiration: Lorie Ames

Good morning MHK Design friends!  This is Lorie and it is my day to take over the blog and share I card I made with a couple of fabulous MHK Designs products!
For this card I've used the Simple Rose set, Stenciled Roses Papers, and Simply Seasonal Papers (for the leaves).  As you can see I used several of the papers from the Stenciled Roses Papers and began building the card with the main blue and pink colors.  I printed the rose out twice to make dimension for the rose and three more times to make the leaves (on the green from the Simply Seasonal Papers).  From there I just started building the card and the dimension for the rose.
You can see that I've used some of the kraft colored paper from the Stenciled Roses paper on the inside as well.  I then added a couple of different colors of twine and tahdah...this card was born!

I hope you enjoy my card!  Make sure you stop over and see what our challenge for the month is and then play along too!  Have a wonderful Sunday all!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Jessica

Hello friends!

It's Designer Jess here today with another Designer Inspiration for MHKDesigns!

This month I chose to work with Pansy Corner and Eat Your Cake (sentiment).

After printing my image, I used Nuance  Watercolor Powders to Watercolor the image. Once dry, I fussy cut it out and then covered with Versamark Ink. I sprinkled on Clear Embossing powder and heat set.

I printed the sentiment off on Vellum paper and cut out.  I attached it with a clear liquid glue.

I hope you enjoy this card and I can't wait to see you next time!

MHKDesigner Inspiration: Katie Skiff

Hello friends, it's DT Member, Katie Skiff here today.

I really fell in love with this image from the Friendship Digital stamp set.  I thought it was super cute, and thought that I would try to pull some color as if it were an early morning with the sun rising to the bottom right hand side.
I love orange talby cats and think it being pared with the cow is super cute!!

I added some paper from the Autumnal Accents Paper pack to finish off the card.

I had already printed off the sentiment from this set, so I trimmed it up and added it inside the card.

Thanks so much for checking out my card today!  Check out the supplies used in the MHK Etsy Shop today!!

MHK Designer Inspiration: Jerrie

Hi crafty friends!  Ready to start making Christmas cards?  Well really, this image can be used through out the winter season...see, extend the use of your images!

This is a fun card using one of my go to desings.  It brings back so many memories of childhood...except we had snowpants!!

This card was so fun to make.  A punch was used for the snowflake mask.  Ink was sponged on around the snowflakes.  A scissor edge dipped in ink creates the black lines on the edge of the card.
The image was colored and added.

Thanks for stopping by and be creative today!
